Refrigeration Engineer

Experienced Refrigeration EngineerMead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join our Food & Beverage group. This opportunity would be available at one of the following office locations: St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; Bloomington, MN; Madison or West Allis, WI.Responsibilities include:Conducting job-site surveysCalculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loadsAssisting in the development of project documentation including: drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, and scope of workSelecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systemsCoordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and clients.A valid driver's license and some travel (~20-30%) will be required.The successful candidate must have:A bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university AND at least six years of relevant experience.PE license is also strongly preferred.The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:Experience with Ammonia refrigeration designExperience with food plant project designExperience with chilled water/hydronic designExperience developing P&IDsFamiliarity with managing project invoicesExperience working directly with clients including marketing to obtain future workProficiency in Microsoft Office softwareExperience mentoring less experienced staffPhysical Requirements:The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
