Building Tradesperson Specialist

Posting Summary
Perform highly skilled repairs maintenance and construction carpentry throughout the university to ensure safe and functional facilities in support of the University mission. Perform restoration rebuilding and fabrication of interior and exterior building components and associated hardware. Utilize work methods within established guidelines specifications and codes to include historic buildings and historic preservation requirements. Monitor and inspect projects performed by maintenance personnel and outside contractors. Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs. Provide functional supervision of personnel in the absence of supervisor. Promote a work place that encourages safety within the field and in the shop. Communicate with campus partners about maintenance needs. Operate a University vehicle to transport materials tools and equipment. May be required to operate an aerial lift.
