Business Development Manager

The firm provides subject matter expertise in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 requirements, supporting clients in meeting stringent regulatory and data integrity standards. Its primary focus is helping life science companies successfully implement, validate, and manage electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS). Team members work closely with clients to optimize processes, reduce risk, and ensure sustained compliance in a dynamic regulatory environment. Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full‑time, hybrid role based in Swansea, MA, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the life sciences sector, focusing on organizations needing support with 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and eQMS implementation. Day‑to‑day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, managing the sales pipeline, conducting discovery calls, and delivering client‑focused presentations and proposals. The individual will collaborate with subject matter experts to tailor service offerings, maintain strong relationships with existing clients, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives. Additional responsibilities include market research, participation in industry events, and accurate forecasting and reporting of business development activities. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management within life sciences, regulatory consulting, or related professional services. Knowledge of quality systems management, with familiarity or interest in 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and eQMS solutions. Strong skills in relationship building, client communication, and stakeholder management, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in lead generation, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing new business opportunities. Ability to analyze market trends, identify target segments, and develop effective outreach strategies. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities independently while collaborating closely with remote and on-site team members. Experience using CRM tools and standard office software to track activities, prepare reports, and support decision-making. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
