Throughout the encounter the Cashier must be enthusiastic, personable and helpful to the guests. Requirements Count and verify the assigned till / cash drawer at the beginning of the shift. Must be familiar with the menu. Cheerfully greets guest and takes the order. Make recommendations on popular dishes or personal favorites. Remain attentive to guest’s conversation as it relates to the order. Answer questions, recommends items if asked and offers substitutions of side items. Ring up the order and then repeats the final order back to the guest when complete. Give pager to the guest and directs them to the Host (or Beverage Station if not on a wait). When involved in the sale of an alcoholic beverage, checks identification for age verification. Keep work area clean throughout the shift. Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned by manager.
