Oncology Nurse - 13-Week Contract Position

This position requires 3 12-hour shifts, working from 07:00 AM to 19:30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. Weekend work may be required, with expectations varying between every other weekend or once every six weeks based on departmental needs. Floating to other units is rare but may occur if there are no available hours in the BMT unit.

As an Oncology Nurse, you will be providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and those requiring bone marrow transplants. The position does not involve on-call duties or holiday shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses.
• Provide care for patients in a Bone Marrow Transplant unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and policy guidelines.

Required Experience and Certifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• BLS certification is required; ONS certification is recommended.
• Experience in oncology, chemotherapy administration, and bone marrow transplant is preferred.
