Project Superintendent

About the role Our client, a general contractor working on new-build projects across New York City, is hiring a Project Superintendent. You will run the field on a ground-up job from site mobilization through turnover. You’ll report to the Project Executive or General Superintendent and work closely with the Project Manager on schedule, cost and quality. What you’ll do Run daily site operations and manage subcontractor crews and foremen Build and maintain the field schedule, including three-week lookaheads, and keep work on track against the master schedule Coordinate trade sequencing from foundations and superstructure through MEP rough-in, envelope, interiors and closeout Run weekly subcontractor and safety meetings Make sure work follows the drawings, specs and approved submittals, and raise RFIs when needed Enforce site safety and stay compliant with NYC DOB, OSHA and site safety plan requirements Coordinate inspections with the DOB, special inspectors and third-party agencies Keep daily reports, logs and photo records up to date Manage punch lists, final inspections and TCO/CO sign-offs Spot field issues early and work through solutions with the PM, design team and owner’s rep
