This position works within the occupational therapist’s scope of practice, following all laws and state licensure and national registration, evaluates and treats pediatric patients with physical, emotional, or developmental conditions to improve their ability to perform daily tasks and activities. Works collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that promote independence and enhance quality of life. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Patient Assessment : Conduct initial and comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities, to determine patient’s needs and goals. Treatment Planning : Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and needs, often in consultation with physicians. Therapeutic Activities : Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to promote independence in daily activities through development of motor skills, functional communication skills, adaptive skills, social skills, visual perceptual skills, and/or self-regulation skills. Progress Evaluation : Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Patient Education : Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, options, exercises, and strategies for on-going care. Collaboration : Work with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to provide comprehensive care. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: JOB TYPE/SCHEDULE: Full time, Monday to Friday, day shift with evening and weekend work as needed to meet client needs. Position works on site at main office in downtown Kent. PAY: 90-100K/DOE - experience will impact starting pay HIRING BONUS: One-time $3,500 hiring bonus . Must be hired and start working full time before 12/1/2026. Paid after 30 days of full time employment on the next scheduled pay date following 30 days or on the 12/31/2026 pay date, but no later. BENEFITS : Full Time staff are eligible for: 11 paid holidays; 3 weeks of vacation 1 st year of employment; and 12 paid sick days per year. Company paid 403b retirement: current contribution is at 5% after one year of employment; paid medical, dental, vision, life and LTD insurance for employee with coverage beginning the 1st of the month following 30 days of continuous employment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizes leadership and collaboration skills to co-develop the OT program within an established Behavioral Health clinic. Delivers personalized treatment sessions following an occupational therapy plan of care for patients typically within the ages of 5-18 with disabilities, neurodivergence, and/or developmental delays in self-regulation skills, functional communication skills, social emotional skills, motor skills, and/or adaptive skills. Provides comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation inclusive of parent questionnaire, standardized assessment, observation of skills, and/or parent or caregiver report to develop plan of care that meets medical necessity. Develops a plan of care that includes specific and measurable goals that are appropriately written and scaled according to the client's current level of function and functional need(s). Grades therapy activities in response to client's skill and performance during session to provide adequate challenge needed for growth and learning. Documents treatment sessions to illustrate scope of activities and client performance, justify continued need of occupational therapy service, and to track session-specific data of progress toward goals. Documents long-term growth toward goals in progress notes and/or re-evaluation documents, as required by payer sources or facility. Documents discharge summaries including summary of progress made, reason for discharge, follow-up recommendations, and/or home programming. Utilizes gross motor equipment within reasonable parameters for avoiding undue risk for injury. Follows federal HIPAA laws to maintain patient confidentiality. Maintains client safety through reasonable preventive measures, anticipation, and reaction to potential safety concerns. Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with company's procedures, rules and regulations, inclusive of infection-control protocols. Maintains WA State occupational therapy licensure inclusive of required continuing education requirements. Follows federal, state, and company regulations and laws related to treatment and delivery of occupational therapy services.
