This position works 3.5 hours per day. Pay rate is $17.28 - $21.18 per hour. Paid Sick Leave earned, Personal Days. This position is not eligible for insurance benefits. Opportunities for advancement.

The cook prepares food according to the menu using established district recipes.

Key Functions:

• Portions food and prepare cafeteria line for serving.
• Serves students and staff from the cafeteria line.
• Learns prices and government lunch pattern.
• Learns and operates cash register. Follow the district money-handling procedures.
• Cleans kitchen equipment, trays, utensils, and table and chairs in the dining area as directed by head cook or supervisor.
• Learns and operates all kitchen and dish room equipment.
• Follows proper sanitation procedures.
• Performs related duties as assigned including duties at special meal functions.

Additional Working Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue
• Prolonged and irregular hours
