You'll work on custom structural steel projects, operate heavy fabrication equipment, and build large steel assemblies that support major construction projects. Additional $1.50/hour shift differential Qualifications Experience with Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) in structural or custom steel fabrication Ability to perform open root and fillet welds Experience with gauging, fitting, and grinding Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings preferred Successful completion of a weld test is required Responsibilities Set up and operate 600-amp wire-feed welders Perform FCAW welding on structural steel components Use cutting and heating torches Grinding, drilling, tapping, and sawing operations Operate ironworker equipment Material handling and shop support activities Operate overhead cranes and work with large fabricated assemblies Work from scaffolding as required Follow safety and quality standards Benefits Medical insurance with low HRA deductible Dental and vision insurance ( 90% employer paid ) Short-term disability ( 100% employer paid ) Long-term disability ( 100% employer paid ) $50,000 life insurance policy ( 100% employer paid ) 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match Compensation Hourly wage is based on experience, welding ability, and overall qualifications.
