Warehouse DriverThe Food Bank of the Southern Tier is hiring a Warehouse Driver to deliver food throughout our six county service area. Drivers support local agencies and programs and help ensure food reaches neighbors facing food insecurity. Our drivers are trusted frontline team members, doing hands on, physical work in a fast paced environment where reliability, accuracy, and teamwork matter.If you take pride in your work and want a job where the impact is real, this role matters from the moment you start your engine.What You'll DoStage, organize, and prepare outbound orders using invoices and delivery schedules.Load, secure, and unload food using forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.Complete pre trip and post trip inspections, delivery paperwork, mileage logs, and temperature logs.Pick up donated food from local donors and deliver to the warehouse or partner locations.Follow food safety, handling, and sanitation standards at every stop.Build positive relationships with donors, vendors, and agency and program partners while representing the Food Bank professionally.Who You AreA safe, responsible driver with a valid CDL Class A license and clean driving record.Comfortable with hands on, physical work, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.Experienced in warehouse, delivery, or distribution work and confident working in a fast paced, high volume environment.Detail oriented and takes responsibility for making sure deliveries and paperwork are accurate.Committed to food safety, quality, and doing the job the right way.A dependable team player who shows up on time, communicates clearly, and is ready to pitch in when needed.Professional, respectful, and understands that drivers are frontline representatives of the Food Bank in the community.What You'll ReceiveMeaningful Work: You directly impact hunger relief in your community every day.Consistent Schedule: Monday–Thursday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; Friday 6:30 AM – 12:00 PM.Work-Life Balance: Early Fridays mean more time for you.Competitive Pay: $25.00/hour.Time Off: 10 days of PTO to start, increasing to 15 days after the first year, plus 13-17 paid holidays.Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, life, short-term, & long-term disability.Retirement: 403(b) plan with a 6% employer contribution.Wellness Support: Employee Assistance Program, Headspace subscription, and on-site Wellness Room.Additional Benefits: Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, supplemental insurance, and discounts through "My Better Benefits."QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum one (1) year of experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving, or product distribution required.Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record required.Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.ServSafe certification required or willingness to obtain within 180 days of hire.Ability to pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and required drug and alcohol screenings.Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Basic math skills required, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and standard units of measure.Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume, team oriented environment with limited downtime.In this role, you will focus on the following key areas:Order Fulfillment & Local DistributionWarehouse Operations & Material HandlingVehicle Operations & Preventive MaintenanceFood Safety, Documentation & ComplianceSafety, Teamwork & Organizational SupportReady to Make an Impact?Visit to learn more about our work.The full job description is available on our Careers page at foodbankst.org/careers.Apply today with your resume and help us build a stronger, hunger-free Southern Tier!Our Hiring ProcessApplications will be reviewed regularly until the position is filled.Qualified candidates will be invited for a phone screening followed by in-person interviews (2-5 interviewers).Start date is approximately two weeks after acceptance and background check completion.Physical Demands/Work Environment: The physical demands/work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
