Job Requirements
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio
- Lifting Requirements: Up to 25 pounds
- Certification or Licensing Required: Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age, or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio
Job Responsibilities
- Execute Medication Therapy Management for the company through competency in MTM platforms.
- Follow established best practices as they relate to work flow and use of MTM platforms when contacting patients, scheduling appointments and/or follow-up calls, and performing data entry.
- Use the pharmacy computer to complete all actions necessary to provide optimal patient care, including data entry.
- Properly schedule and perform follow-up adherence calls to ensure success and continued compliance with medication.
- Provide adequate notes and documentation within platform to ensure proper reimbursement, patient safety, and to provide a seamless management of patients amongst all staff.
- Demonstrate adherence to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations including HIPAA.
- Maintain a neat work environment to ensure all company, local, state, and federal requirements are met.
- Have knowledge of all appropriate service and business metrics and assist team on action plans to improve outcomes.
- Report errors, omissions, and incidents to pharmacist.
- Act in a fiscally responsible manner with regards to our work processes and be held accountable to meeting our financial goals.
- Add and update prescriptions on Auto-fill.
- Accurately read and data enter new prescriptions in the computer including billing to third parties, compounds, calculations and free form prescriptions.
- Resolve third party insurance billing issue to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Effectively communicate with internal Giant Eagle team members verbally and by phone/email.
- Complete all necessary daily and weekly reports and paperwork.
- Ensure exemplary customer service and satisfaction with knowledge and understanding to contact a Pharmacist when needed.

The hiring range for this position is $17.50- $17.50 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location. Position Overview PHIL is seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable Pharmacy Technician based in Ohio to support our growing pharmacy operations team. This role will focus on ensuring the accurate preparation, processing, and distribution of prescription medications, as well as supporting the pharmacist in day‑to‑day operations. Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Pharmacy Technician - Closed Door Pharmacy
Answer patient inquiries through telephone calls and/or e‑mail, problem‑solve with patients and enter data into Pharmacy applications and vendor platforms. Serve as the initial point of patient contact, both inbound and outbound related to specific assigned area. Provide support for patient escalation and serve as a mentor for the Patient Services Technician role. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities
- Address patient inquiries received directly through Kroger Health Connect telephone number.
- Utilize Pharmacy applications and vendor platforms for data entry and to optimize patient care.
- Protect customer information in accordance with state and federal pharmacy laws, including HIPAA law and corporation standards.
- Ensure all tasks are conducted with accuracy and in a Customer 1st manner consistent with company and patient policies.
- Resolve and manage difficult customer situations in a professional manner.
- Achieve and maintain productivity levels consistent with contact center standards.
- Serve as a liaison between Kroger Health & Wellness and the patient.
- Problem‑solve with a goal of first contact resolution.
- Follow‑up on patient inquiries within departmental guidelines.
- Collaborate on multi‑level communication with patient, pharmacy, provider and insurance to deliver comprehensive care.
- Assist with the training and development of Kroger Health Connect team members.
- Provide feedback and assistance with new program development.
- Perform select advanced level functions under the direction of a Patient Service Specialist.
- Serve as a backup Patient Service Specialist and assist with the Resource line as needed.
- Maintain contact with store personnel as needed.
- Maintain flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as part of a standard work schedule.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to type 35‑40 words per minute.
- State Registered/Licensed Technician or Nationally Certified Technician.
- Ability to pass FBI/BCI background check.
- Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.

- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers.

Pharmacy Technician Position
We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Hours: Monday through Friday with 8‑hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am–5:30pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff.
- Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist.
- Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
- Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
- Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
- Performs various clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio.
- Ability to work onsite at 701 Brooksedge Plaza Dr. Westerville, OH, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am–5:30pm.
- Ability to stand for an 8‑hour shift.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
