Material Handler - FabricationReport To: Manufacturing ManagerTTX Mission Statement:To be a family that demonstrates extraordinary passion, hard work, and integrity with steadfast loyalty and support for those we serve: our employees, our communities, and our customers.Position Summary:The Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting fabrication operations by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods. This position works closely with production teams, inventory control, and logistics to maintain optimal material flow and minimize downtime.General Responsibilities:Material Movement & Staging:Transport raw materials, parts, and assemblies to designated fabrication workstationsStage materials according to production schedules and routing sheetsOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safelyInventory & Documentation:Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepanciesTag, label, and document material transactions using ERP or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materialsWorkflow Support:Collaborate with fabrication leads to anticipate material needsAssist in kitting jobs based on BOMs and routing requirementsMonitor material usage and report shortages or excessesQuality & Safety:Inspect materials for damage or defects before delivery to fabricationFollow all safety protocols and PPE requirementsSupport 5S and lean manufacturing initiatives in material storage areasRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred1–3 years of experience in material handling within a manufacturing or fabrication environmentFamiliarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and routing sheetsForklift certification a plusKey Competencies:Basic understanding of fabrication processes (e.g., welding, cutting, machining)Experience with barcode scanning and digital inventory toolsStrong organizational and time management skillsAble to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and focusAbility to lift to 50 lbs
