Details Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a hospital 13-week assignment on day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Cares for neonates across a range of gestational ages, including those less than 24-28 weeks Patient ratio of 1:2-3 Call requirement of up to 4 call shifts within an 8-week period Floating is primarily within the Pediatrics and NICU service line, but may include floating to other units as a 1:1 safety sitter Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active RN license (Montana state or compact) currently in hand Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Minimum 5 years of NICU RN experience required Level III NICU experience required Cerner charting experience required Experience with high-risk deliveries, ventilator management, and neonatal emergency medications preferred Skilled in IV therapy, UAC/UVC management, and neonatal dosage calculations References required for consideration Additional Information Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neonates, including those requiring respiratory support, cardiovascular monitoring, and specialized interventions Responsibilities may include attending high-risk deliveries and supporting infants with conditions such as respiratory distress syndrome, necrotizing enterocolitis, and neonatal abstinence syndrome Scrubs are provided First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Local candidates are not accepted; must reside 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Previous permanent employees of the facility must have taken a 2-year break in employment before being eligible American Traveler Job ID P-739360.
