You will be challenged and provided with a tremendous opportunity to expand your skills in a customer-facing, fast-paced, and rewarding environment.In this role, the successful candidate has significant experience in building JavaScript-based web applications, including familiarity with multiple frameworks, strong programming fundamentals, and typical web application development and deployment processes. You must be capable of working on multiple projects at once and seeing them all through to completion, and a self-starter who is able to work through any obstacles to get the job done.Most of the work will be on site in Leidos' facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Some level of remote/work from home is possible.Primary Responsibilities:Participate in the full software development lifecycle, working within broadly defined parameters.Use Jira, Confluence, Nexus, Git, development operations, collaboration, and source control tools.Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.Identify potential roadblocks and develop around them.Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics.Develop maintainable code that matches specification.Write and execute unit, E2E, and integration tests.Work closely with other engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development and enhancements.Build software solutions where the solution is not always well defined but always considers the customer firstBasic Qualifications:US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with 365 days of your start date with Leidos.Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeSkillful with (ES6+) JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 broadly.Specific skills in any of the following client technologies preferred: Modern React - Tanstack Query/ReactQuery – StyleComponents – Playbook – CesiumJS - TypeScriptFamiliar with containerization (Docker/Podman).Solid understanding of software development process fundamentalsPreferred Qualifications:US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearanceExperience with Agile development principles and methodologiesWorking knowledge of continuous integration and delivery methodologies and toolsSolid understanding of software development process fundamentalsExperience managing projects within the Atlassian suite of tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket).Familiarity with component-based web frameworks & libraries (React, Vue, Angular)Knowledge of a version control system (e.g., Git).Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (Gitlab)Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databasesExperience with USSTRATCOM Nuclear Planning processDABAOPP1If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
