Diagnostic Perinatology Sonographer

Job Overview Position: Diagnostic Perinatology Sonographer Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day (Contingent) Location: Trinity Health Livonia Department: Perinatology Services Under the direction of a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician. Responsibilities Performs sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail; performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative, using ultrasound for diagnosis. Complete exams of abdominal, pelvic, transvaginal and targeted fetal anatomy surveys. Highly detailed head‑to‑toe evaluation of fetal brain, spine, cardiac and limbs to evaluate for congenital anomalies, genetic markers and structural birth defects. Doppler imaging to measure blood velocities in maternal and fetal vessels to assess placental function and oxygenation. Serial fetal growth and cervical assessment. Required Qualifications High school graduation or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of an ultrasound program or similar training to meet qualifications for registration.
