Welder

Purpose:As a Welder you will be responsible for welding, positioning, aligning and fitting miscellaneous steel components according to technical drawings and blueprints, ensuring that they meet design specifications and quality standards.Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Competencies:Basic Metalworking Skills:Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic metalworking machinery.Knowledge of shop machines and sand tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Basic understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, grinding, and drilling.Welder 1:Proficient in welding flux core and/or hard wireKnowledge of basic weld symbolsBasic knowledge of drawingsKnowledge of welding equipment and their settingsWelder 2:D1.1 certified flux core and hard wireAdvanced knowledge of weld symbolsAble to troubleshoot welding equipment and perform minor repairsCorrect unsatisfactory weldsWelder 3:Ability to train lower level weldersQuality check weldsAbility to weld multiple material typesBasic fitting skillsKnowledge and understanding of heat affected area and it’s reaction to base metalIdentify and perform corrective actionsAbility to interpret and understand blueprints and drawingsDisclaimer: This job description is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or requirements.
