Job Title Physical Therapy Assistant – Full time, 40 hours per week. Waverly Health Center. Position Summary Staff Physical Therapy Assistants are responsible for direct patient care, treating a variety of individuals based upon setting, and according to the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist. The successful candidate will exhibit strong customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Effective time management and teamwork skills are essential qualities that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy. Preferred Education Associate’s Degree. Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with current Ohio license or eligible to obtain one. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Valid Ohio Driver’s License and proof of insurance. De‑escalation training within 6 months. Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licenses None. Preferred Experience 1-2 years of prior experience delivering direct patient care to individuals with orthopedic, neurologic, developmental, and cognitive deficits.
