Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider
Are you a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking to advance your career in a collaborative, patient-centered cardiology practice? Southwest Virginia Cardiology, an AlignedCardio partner, is seeking a dedicated provider to join our growing cardiovascular team in the beautiful Roanoke area. We are seeking a compassionate and clinically confident Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our General Cardiology team. This clinic-based role offers the chance to care for a diverse patient population with cardiovascular disease while working alongside an experienced cardiologist and fellow APP in a highly supportive environment.
Whether you are an experienced cardiology APP or a strong clinician from emergency medicine, critical care, or internal medicine looking to transition into cardiology, we would love to speak with you.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient clinic setting
- Develop individualized treatment plans including:
- Diagnostic testing and imaging
- Medical therapies
- Interventions and specialist referrals
- Patient education and preventative care
- Practice with a high level of autonomy while collaborating closely with the physician and APP colleague
- Build meaningful relationships with patients while delivering compassionate, high-quality care
What We're Looking For
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
- Current certification through ANCC or AANP
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Commitment to maintaining all licensure and credentials in good standing
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of cardiology, emergency medicine, or critical care experience preferred
- Strong internal medicine experience will also be considered
- New graduates with significant emergency or critical care backgrounds are encouraged to apply
