Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (20:00–08:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed Medical-Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
• Manage a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics with diagnoses including TIA, COPD, urology, gynecology, cellulitis/wound care, palliative care, infectious processes, gastrointestinal conditions, and early post-surgical recovery
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, including care for patients post-cardiac catheterization with TR bands and no intervention
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 within a 24-bed unit with an average daily census of 18
• Float within specialty, to other units, and to sister facilities within scope as required
• Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
• Comfortable floating within scope to other units and facilities with no restrictions
• Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility address (locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless explicitly stated otherwise)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with observation patient care and post-procedural cardiac monitoring
• Experience as a travel nurse with demonstrated flexibility in floating assignments
