Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Retirement Specialist to manage client accounts with a specialized focus on retirement plans and self-directed accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing account transfers, monitoring transaction statuses, and maintaining clear, consistent communication with clients regarding their account updates. If you possess strong expertise in self-directed IRAs and retirement account processing alongside exceptional client service skills, we welcome your application.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration and processing of retirement accounts and self-directed investment accounts.
- Initiate, track, and complete account transfers, proactively resolving any delays or discrepancies with custodians and institutions.
- Maintain regular, clear communication with clients and advisors, delivering timely status updates on transfers and account activities.
- Perform routine account reviews, ensure proper documentation, and verify that all transactions comply with applicable legal and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal operations and legal teams to streamline onboarding and ongoing account maintenance processes.
- Answer client inquiries regarding self-directed account capabilities, eligible asset transfers, and operational procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in trust administration, wealth management, or financial services, with direct experience handling retirement accounts and self-directed IRAs/accounts.
- Transfer Expertise: Strong familiarity with ACATS, custodian-to-custodian transfers, and rollover processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong client-first mindset for delivering accurate, regular status updates.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision in managing complex financial documentation, compliance requirements, and account tracking.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience navigating financial account management software and reporting tools
