    Tournament/Special Event Staff

    Join the team at Williamsport Lumber Yards and be part of the action during tournaments and special events! We are seeking reliable, energetic, and customer-focused individuals to support event-day operations including ticketing, parking, field operations, and grounds/janitorial needs.

    This is a part-time, event-based position that plays a key role in delivering a safe, organized, and positive experience for athletes, families, and spectators.

    Position Summary

    Tournament Staff members are cross-trained and assigned to various responsibilities throughout tournament and event days. Team members may rotate between roles based on event needs and will work closely with event leadership and facility management.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Ticketing & Guest Services

    • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner

    • Scan tickets and manage gate entry

    • Process payments when required

    • Provide directions and answer questions

    • Enforce facility policies and event guidelines

    Parking Operations

    • Direct vehicles safely to designated parking areas

    • Maintain smooth traffic flow during peak arrival and departure times

    • Monitor accessible parking areas

    • Communicate parking capacity updates to supervisors

    Field Marshal / Event Operations

    • Monitor fields to ensure safety and rule compliance

    • Assist teams, officials, and guests as needed

    • Report incidents or concerns promptly

    • Help maintain event schedules and field readiness

    Grounds & Janitorial Support

    • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, seating areas, and common spaces

    • Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the event

    • Assist with event setup and breakdown

    • Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 16 years of age

    • Strong customer service and communication skills

    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

    • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods

    • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally

    • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

    • Available to work weekends, evenings, and extended tournament days

    • No prior experience required; event, sports, or customer service experience is a plus.

    Work Environment

    • Indoor and outdoor event settings

    • Exposure to varying weather conditions

    • Moderate to loud noise levels during tournaments

    • Fast-paced, high-energy sports environment
