Daytime CustodianReports To: Director of OperationsContract: 12-monthBenefits: Employee Health, Dental and Life InsuranceSUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the school facility including the facility grounds and custodial services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Monitors and maintains all physical facilities on a planned basis to ensure a safe, clean, well-maintained appearance.Maintains an inventory for all custodial supplies.Opens and closes school buildings and activates and disarms security alarm systems as assigned.Responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of the buildings and grounds.Empties wastebaskets within designated areas; transport trash and waste to disposal area.Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, classrooms, shops, labs, lounge and office areas.Assembles, cleans, dusts, and maintains furniture, tables, chairs, equipment and other facility furnishings.Clean windows, blinds, doors, walls and window ledge as needed.Sweep sidewalks, entrances, and other exterior areas as needed.Clean, sweep, mop, and scrub bathrooms; refill soap, paper towel, and toilet paper dispensers.Assist with preparing facilities for special events, meetings, and school activities.Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence.
