Diagnostic Radiology MD/DO Reviewer (Remote | 1099) We are seeking a 100% remote, 1099 Diagnostic Radiology MD/DO to serve as a Medical Expert Reviewer for the California Department of Managed Health Care (CA DMHC) . Role Summary Review denied treatment requests and render final medical determinations based on: Medical Necessity Experimental/Investigational status Emergency Reviews are specialty-driven, completed through a secure web-based portal, and do not involve direct patient care. Training One-on-one training for the first 3–5 cases Flexible scheduling based on reviewer availability Standardized templates provided Requirements Active medical license Board Certified in Infectious Disease Minimum 5 years post‑training experience At least 24 hours/week of direct patient care MD or DO Compensation (Per Case) Range $225-$400 depends on severity Volume varies based on need.
