Accountabilities:

The Senior Finance Manager will oversee accounting operations while driving improvements across financial processes, automation, and business reporting. This role requires a balance of operational ownership, strategic thinking, and a passion for technology-enabled finance transformation.

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support audit preparation and external accounting relationships.
• Transition accounting responsibilities from existing support resources and establish scalable finance operations.
• Optimize finance systems and automation tools to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and integrations across accounting, payroll, banking, billing, and reporting workflows.
• Improve reporting capabilities through KPI dashboards, recurring financial analysis, and executive-level insights.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help leaders make informed business decisions.
• Design and document scalable finance processes that support future growth.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and operational effectiveness.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a passion for automation, technology, and continuous improvement. You should be comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced environment and building processes from the ground up.

• 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Proven experience owning or leading monthly close processes and financial operations.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting controls.
• Experience improving finance systems, workflows, and operational processes.
• Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and financial analysis.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, automation, and modern finance technologies.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with SaaS, technology companies, venture-backed organizations, or high-growth environments is a plus.
• Experience implementing or optimizing finance platforms and accounting systems is highly valued.
• CPA certification is preferred but not required.
