City/StateVirginia Beach, VAWork ShiftFirst (Days)Overview:OverviewThe IT Program Manager will serve as a Revenue Cycle Systems coordination resource for One Sentara Transformation Wave initiatives and other IT-driven initiatives by centralizing intake, validating requirements, coordinating IT engagement, and aligning IT Milestone Owner assignments.The role enables consistent execution, improves planning accuracy, and ensures cross-functional alignment. The IT Program Manager provides centralized expertise, governance, and coordination, driving operational efficiency and ensuring successful execution across IT initiatives within Clinical & Revenue Cycle systems.Key ResponsibilitiesIntake & Initiative ReadinessReview and validate completeness of initiative documentation (BRD/TDD, scope, dependencies)Identify gaps and coordinate with Initiative Owners (IOs), BRMs, and BAsIT Ownership CoordinationAnalyze initiative scope and determine appropriate IT ownership alignmentCoordinate and facilitate assignment of IT Milestone OwnersSupport reassignment and escalation processesEnsure ownership aligns with actual work effort and technical domainResource Coordination & Risk ManagementCoordinate resource needs across inter-related initiativesSupport scope definition and risk assessment for technical programsIdentify cross-project risks and interdependencies and drive mitigation planningCross-Functional Leadership & InfluenceBuild strong relationships across IT, operations, and business leadershipResolve conflicts and address project challenges across teamsInfluence stakeholders outside direct reporting linesServe as a liaison across application, integration, analytics, and infrastructure teamsSmall Project / Initiative CoordinationProvide coordination support for initiatives without assigned enterprise project managersTrack IT milestones and support execution alignmentFacilitate communication and issue resolution across stakeholdersEducationBachelor's in Computer science or relevant field preferred5+ years of experience accepted in Lieu of Bachelor's degreeCertification/LicensureCertification and experience in relevant Epic application(s) Prelude, Cadence, HIM, Professional Billing, Hospital Billing, Cogito preferredPMP preferred or obtained within 18 monthsExperienceExperience within healthcare IT environmentsFamiliarity with ServiceNow and Wave or similar toolsAbility to influence without direct authorityStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage multiple concurrent initiativesStrong organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to interpret complex or incomplete informationStrong problem-solving and decision-making capabilityExcellent written and verbal communicationAbility to translate technical concepts to diverse audiencesStrong attention to detailKeywords: Prelude, Cadence, HIM, Professional Billing, Hospital Billing, Cogito . Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $120,744.00 - $183,164.80 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
