About the Position

Description: Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required from November 1 to April 1. The position is for functioning in the acute care pharmacy. The pharmacist will coordinate workflow in the central pharmacy. Duties include checking medication products, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens. The pharmacist will ensure code carts are restocked correctly. This role includes overseeing the workflow of pharmacy technicians. There will be collaboration with a team of pharmacists and technicians. Training will consist of 2-3 weeks, depending on the pharmacist's capability. The work environment includes a staff of pharmacists and technicians on both day and evening shifts. Responsibilities include primary oversight of central pharmacy operations. The pharmacist will have the opportunity for extensions beyond the initial 13-week assignment based on performance. Patient satisfaction and safety are top priorities.
