We are seeking qualified individuals to join our team and provide exceptional patient care! Responsibilities: Perform procedural duties along with some administrative duties under the direction of a physician and associate director of the ASC. Jacksonville clinic hours: Monday-Friday; Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5pm And Friday 7:30am - 12pm. Job Duties: Interview patients and obtain medical histories, including medications, allergies, past medical history, surgical history, family history, and social history. Measure and document vital signs and other pertinent clinical information in the patient's medical record. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient examinations and in-office procedures. Provide both pre-operative and post-operative patient care , including patient preparation, postoperative assessments, and discharge instructions. Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, procedure preparation, postoperative expectations, and aftercare instructions. Schedule patient appointments, follow-up visits, imaging, procedures, and surgeries as directed. Assist with fluoroscopy (C-arm) procedures and maintain proficiency in medical assistant/fluoroscopy workflow while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Prepare examination and procedure rooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and appropriately equipped prior to patient visits. Gather appropriate documentation and obtain required signatures to assist providers in treatment decisions. Ensure incoming medical records are received, reviewed, and appropriately documented in the patient's chart before the visit. Relay clinical instructions and medication orders to pharmacies via electronic medical record, phone, or fax. Answer phones, relay messages to providers, and return patient phone calls in a timely and professional manner. Utilize basic office equipment, including telephones, scanners, copiers, fax machines, and electronic medical records. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation. Demonstrate excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies. Contribute to team success by assisting with additional duties as assigned. Education And Experience Experience using EClinical Works or other EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems preferred 1-year clinical experience preferred Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Certification/Training: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification preferred. Fluoroscopy (MA/Fluoro) certification or eligibility to obtain certification is preferred where required by state regulations. The employee must maintain professional composure and consistently perform assigned duties throughout the scheduled work period; manage routine workplace stressors and feedback without disrupting patient care, patient-facing operations, or coworkers’ work; and use established de-escalation and escalation procedures when appropriate. The employee must exercise sound judgment; maintain appropriate workplace boundaries; receive and respond to routine feedback and direction; protect confidential patient and business information; and address patient or workplace concerns through established supervisory and safety procedures.
