Production Engineer (Chicago)

YIBI Precision develops and manufactures precision metal components with a focus on dimensional consistency, process stability, surface quality, and scalable production.

We are looking for a Production Engineer to support daily manufacturing operations and drive improvements in productivity, quality, and process reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production and resolve manufacturing-related technical issues.
• Monitor process performance and identify causes of production instability.
• Optimize manufacturing methods, process parameters, and work instructions.
• Improve production yield, efficiency, and output.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring manufacturing issues.
• Support engineering changes and process improvement activities.
• Participate in new product introduction and production ramp-up.
• Work with quality teams on corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation and process standards.
• Support productivity and manufacturing cost improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in production engineering or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and develop practical solutions.
• Experience with process control and engineering documentation.
• Experience with precision metal components is preferred.
