Transition Project Manager's may also bring a specific technical expertise, developed through “real time” project management experience required to perform a specific task order or project. ResponsibilitiesTake accountability for development of project implementation plansSupervise and provide guidance to project staff in all matters involving written and verbal communicationCommunicate information at multiple levels within the client’s organizationServe as the direct point of contact for the clientFacilitate project meetings, formal and informal, with the owner, design team, vendors, etc.Work closely with vendors to furnish and outfit spaces in alignment with project requirementsOversee and support onsite move activities, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruptionPrepare project teams and staff for office/space relocations and movesOperate with a high level of independence, serving as the local point of contact while collaborating with remote team membersEstablish project protocols for project specific types of documentationImplement the Furniture, Fixture and Equipment planPlan and implement competitive procurements as requiredPrepare project monthly reports including costs, schedule, safety, etc.Monitor adherence to the contractConduct performance reviews for direct reportsAssert the authority and decision making required for managing the assigned project or project taskGain exposure to financial project management and accountabilityProvide direction to sub-contractors as required and consistent with the client’s directionAct as owner’s representative in managing onsite vendors during activation and move timeframesCoaches and mentors less experienced team members Supports a positive and inclusive work environment QualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBS or MS degree in related field3-7 years of project management or specialized experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESProficient in MS Office (Word, Excel Powerpoint, Project, Access, and Visio)Excellent listening skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsConstruction document and drawing literate with knowledge of all phases of constructionKnowledge of BIM360, CADD, BluebeamDetailed knowledge of at least one TPM market sector, such as healthcare, government/military, research and development/laboratory, or higher educationAbility to travel and flexibility to work weekends and evenings as necessary***The initial project is located in Milwaukee, WI; however, future assignments may require up to 60% travel.***Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.For Milwaukee this ranges from $75,000.00-$100,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
