Technology Quality Technician

Work location: 4040 Capitol Ave, City of Industry, CA 90601 Job Code: 82510014 The Technology Quality Technician is responsible for conducting quality control activities, including inspections, tests and results reporting. The Technology Quality Technician combines practical skills with understanding of the overall Quality Management System and the impact of nonconformances on the performance of equipment and systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Inspect documentation, parts, components, materials, subassemblies and equipment against stated specifications, using measurement systems with valid calibration and acceptable repeatability and reproducibility. Comply with applicable inspection procedures and standard work.
• Perform manufacturing and engineering tests in compliance with applicable procedures and standard work.
• Assist in designing tests and fixtures and their set-up.
• Ensure all inspection and test activities are conducted safely. Participate in creation and review of Hazard Analysis and Risk Control for these activities.
• When authorized, perform calibration of measurement systems.
• Be familiar with inspection and test procedures, standard work and test plans, and provide input to continuously improve them.
• Document the results of inspections and tests. Verify the stability of results over time, as feasible.
• Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement, wherever applicable.

Job Summary:

Under minimum supervision, verify engineering requirements of completed assemblies, including using various measuring tools, and accurate recording of results. This position maintains a computer data filing system for traceability documentation for all product lines.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Strong quality mindset and attention to detail

Education and/or Experience - High School diploma or GED is required.

Normal courtesy and tact in dealing with all Company and Customer personnel for whom services are performed.

One or more years of experience in typing and filing, preferably in an Inspection or Quality Assurance/Control environment.

Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills Knowledge of Excel software and Word Processing software.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience verifying materials and processes using interpretation of ISO/IEC, ASTM, ANSI, ASME, MIL SPEC, NQA-1, IEEE, and / or AS specifications and requirements.
• Prior exposure to aerospace, military, or nuclear-supporting industries is beneficial.

Shift / Hours:

5:00 AM 1:30 PM Overtime: Overtime available as needed, especially toward end of month production pushes. Overtime expectations will be discussed during interview.

Work Environment:

Climate-controlled machine shop floor.

• Initial On-Site Group Interview o Includes shop walk-through.
• Same Day Follow Up Interviews o Short, deeper discussions for interested/qualified candidates.
• Secondary Interview PPE will be provided
