Site Manager

Abernethy Contracting Site Manager Abernethy Contracting is looking for an experienced, diligent, and team focused Site Manager. This position will work with a team of heavy civil construction professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Total ownership of projects Attend project handoff meetings Mastery of Plans Fully comprehend scope of work, proposals, budgets, and client schedule/expectations Coordinateonsite Precon Meetings Drive communication Materials, Subcontractor and Vendor Management Release materials/schedule deliveries that maximize efficiency Communicate, schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities effectively Verify and schedule construction staking needs Validate accuracy for utilities/concrete scopes Jobsite Leadership Support field crews, secure emergency material, act as an intermediary with inspectors, etc. Review and coordinate corrective actions in response to erosion inspection reports Coordinate all required inspections and testing Work with superintendents to schedule crews Be present on-site during critical phases and activities Formulate RFIs in the field and submit through proper channels Document evidentiary information related to scope changes, CORs, etc. Master Progress Views Create and update progress plans Project Close Out Ensure client receives operating manuals and warranty documentation as required Manage internal/client punch lists required to complete job Job Walk Evaluation

QUALIFICATIONS

Thorough knowledge of all aspects of sitework, including grading, paving and utilities. Five years of Site Manager experience. Direct experience working on active job sites. Effective oral and written communication skills. Sense of urgency and ability to respond to changing situations. Unyielding commitment to safe work practices. Valid driver’s license. Ability to use smartphone and iPad. Must pass a pre-employment background screening.
