Job Description
Title
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Pediatric/Neonatal

Schedule
Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45-07:15)

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements
- License: RRT and NC license required
- Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years clinical RT experience required; strong Neonates & Pediatrics experience; NICU and PICU experience required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients across multiple units, including NICU, PICU, and Pediatric ED.
- Perform ventilator and non-invasive ventilation management, including weaning protocols.
- Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) drawing and interpretation.
- Administer high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, CPAP, and nebulized therapies.
- Manage airway procedures, including suctioning and tracheostomy care.
- Support pediatric critical care monitoring and emergency department needs.

Compliance / Notes
- Candidate must complete pre-start lab/testing within 48 hours after signing.
- Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no time-off requests allowed during the first week of assignment.
- Must complete 24-30 hours of orientation.
