Electrical Junior Mechanic / Mechanic

We are seeking motivated and skilled Electrical Junior Mechanics and Mechanics to join our growing team. Candidates must have experience in commercial and residential electrical construction and be able to read and interpret blueprints, install conduit, pull wire, and perform rough-in and finish work. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, switchgear, lighting controls, and fire alarm installations while maintaining a high standard of safety and workmanship.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Install, bend, and run EMT, rigid, galvanized, and PVC conduit.
• Perform electrical layout and rough-in work.
• Pull wire and install MC and BX cable systems.
• Install and terminate switchgear, panels, transformers, and electrical equipment.
• Mount and wire boxes, devices, receptacles, switches, and lighting fixtures.
• Install and troubleshoot Lutron lighting control systems.
• Install and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform terminations and wiring from 120V–480V systems.
• Install risers, branch circuits, and distribution systems.
• Work safely while following OSHA regulations and NEC code requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate effectively with foremen, mechanics, and other trades on site.

• 3–6 years of electrical construction experience.
• Basic knowledge of conduit bending and electrical installations.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and follow directions.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• OSHA 30 and SST certifications preferred.

• 7–10+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Strong experience with conduit bending, wire pulling, and equipment installation.
• Ability to work independently from blueprints and layouts.
• Experience with switchgear, panels, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of NEC code and electrical troubleshooting.
• OSHA 30 and SST certifications required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in New York,NY.
