Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy. Address the whole patient and treat them as an individual. Design programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence. Collaborate with peers; make referrals as appropriate. Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards. Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Valid, unencumbered occupational therapy license in the state of practice.
