Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct an array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, explaining each phase with empathy and clarity
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the highest quality of diagnostic images
• Operate and care for imaging devices, promptly reporting any issues
• Thoroughly document procedures and manage patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and protocols

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• Strong technical skillset in sonographic imaging and patient positioning
