Assistant/Associate Professor - Department of Mathematics
Mississippi College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in Mathematics, starting in August 2025. The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in Mathematics and demonstrate strong instructional skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to providing high-quality service to students.
Responsibilities:
Teach approximately 12 hours per week and hold office hours for student counseling and support.
Utilize technology, including online homework systems, in teaching.
Develop and teach courses in the university's online program.
Serve as a resource person for part-time instructors assigned to other mathematics service courses.
Participate in departmental and campus-wide committees.
An active research program involving undergraduate students is encouraged.
Qualifications:
PhD in Mathematics.
Proven instructional skills and experience.
Experience with educational technology and online homework systems.
