OB Technician L&D

The Obstetric Technician (OB Tech) in Labor & Delivery is responsible for preparing the operating room for surgeries, assisting during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and cleaning equipment. This role requires at least 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience and certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). The OB Tech supports the surgical team by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and available, assisting with patient preparation, and facilitating smooth surgical operations during night shifts. Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by setting up sterile instruments, tables, supplies, medications, and equipment.
• Prepare patients by shaving and cleaning skin before surgery and assisting the surgical team with scrubbing in.
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Assist during surgery by passing instruments, sponges, and dressings; retract tissue; apply suction; and assist with suturing.
• Maintain sterile technique and environment throughout surgical procedures.
• Clean and maintain the operating room before and after each procedure.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

• Experience working in Labor & Delivery operating rooms during night shifts.

• Must be available to work night shifts from 11 PM to 7 AM.
• Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
• Overtime and holiday work compensated at regular rates.

• Guaranteed 35 hours per week after breaks.
• Fixed night shift schedule: 11 PM to 7 AM.
