Supervisor, Packaging/Labeling (1st Shift)

Supervisor role overseeing packaging and labeling operations for clinical pharmaceutical products at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Allentown facility. Manages 20-40 employees across multiple production lines, ensuring GMP compliance and product quality while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and team development for 20-40 packaging and labeling employees
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and optimize production processes
• Implement and maintain SOPs and production documentation while ensuring GMP compliance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support operational excellence across production lines
• Manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality and safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in business, management, engineering, or scientific field
• 2+ years pharmaceutical packaging experience with advanced degree, or 4+ years with bachelor's degree in FDA-regulated industry
• Proven experience managing teams of 10 or more employees
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing techniques (5S, SMED, Takt Time, TPM, line balancing)
• Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management preferred
• Proficient with manufacturing/quality systems and Microsoft Office applications
