We are looking for a Planner 2 interested in a career with a top ranked and growing snack company, to join our Production/Packaging department at PIM's Somerset New Jersey location. This position will report to our Production Planner Senior Manager.

Job Overview

Performs tasks and duties associated with product manufacture planning, including production schedules, material lists & inventory availability, and production plans as well as other task needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Helps to analyze production specifications to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and personnel requirements.
• Maintain the sense of urgency required to support a 24/7 plant
• Estimate and coordinate the raw materials, equipment, and labor shifts needed for continuous workflow.
• Recommend schedule changes resulting from material or labor shortages, design changes, or backlogs when necessary.
• Collaborate with Operations in analyzing, validating, and auditing material movements
• Monitor all aspects of material movement and consumption in PIM Brands Systems.
• Maintain inventory levels of materials, necessary to meet daily production demands
• Track stock levels, prevent shortages, and manage work-in-progress (WIP) to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
• Assure the highest level of accuracy for material handling within the plant
• Follow and help enforce PIM Brands GMP, food safety, personal and general safety rules
• Work with Operations and Supply/Demand teams to increase production efficiency while maintaining excellent Customer Service
• Support management with the delivery of KPI targets: OEE, Schedule Adherence, Shift Adherence & Production Attainment
• Become a SME in the use of SAP tools & Reports

Education, Experience, and Training

High school diploma with extensive experience, or a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. 2+ years of progressive experience in production planning, inventory control, and materials management within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience with ERP/MRP (SAP) systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, mathematical, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence across departments.

Work Environment

The PIM Brands Manufacturing Site is located in Somerset, New Jersey The PIM Brands Manufacturing Site is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week This position requires working onsite.
