This is a procedural role that will provide nursing care with compassion and integrity.WORK SCHEDULEPart time / 60% FTE8 hour shifts on Monday, Thursday, and FridayDay shift hours onlyDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONOur Transplant Clinic is a multidisciplinary team that combines clinical, academic, and research knowledge in the field of transplant medicine and transplant surgery. Our board-certified surgeons perform a broad array of multi-organ procurements, including kidney-pancreas transplantation, liver transplantation, and intestinal transplantation.The Transplant Clinic is part of our Medical Specialties Center, which is located at UW Medical Center-Montlake.PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProvides central line care to transplant patientsMonitors patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedureResponds to emergencies and complications in the procedural suitePerforms wound care and complex dressing changesUses and maintains procedural equipmentProvides care coordination services, including discharge coordinationEducates patients and their families about treatment options and side effect managementREQUIREMENTS2 years of recent medical-surgical or procedural nursing experienceDemonstrated experience in central line care and dressing changesDemonstrated experience in wound care, drains, and tubesDemonstrated experience in urinary drainage systems and catheter managementActive BLSActive licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington StateABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-MONTLAKEUW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
