Our drivers are valued professionals who build long-term, rewarding careers with us.Position SummaryThe Linehaul (Shuttle) Driver is responsible for transporting full trailers from the Philadelphia Distribution Center (DC) to designated Company locations [i.e. Boston, Pittsburgh and South Carolina] and returning loaded trailers to the DC. This role may also include occasional backhauls as operational needs require.What We OfferCompensation & PayHourly rateBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceFSA/HSA options and company-paid life insurancePaid holidays, and PTO after 90 days401(k) Profit Sharing Plan eligibility after 90 daysAdditional benefits including:Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee discount programsCritical illness and moreKey ResponsibilitiesAs a Linehaul Driver, you will:Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DOT inspection reportsSafely transport loaded and empty trailers between the DC and domicilesSecure freight to ensure safe, undamaged transportMaintain accurate driver logs (manual or Samsara) in compliance with DOT regulationsComplete linehaul, backhaul, and pickup runs as assignedOperate in a safe and professional manner to prevent injuries and protect company assetsPerform additional duties as requiredQualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:Minimum age of 23Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)At least 6 months or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experienceAbility to meet Samuels Seafood Co.
