Commercial/Retail Construction Project Manager

Job Description
The Commercial/Retail Construction Project Manager oversees medium-sized construction projects ranging from $1M to $10M, primarily focusing on new commercial buildings, mixed-use developments, and retail store build-outs or renovations. This role involves frequent direct communication with clients and requires managing mostly local job sites to ensure projects meet quality, schedule, budget, and compliance expectations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and develop project timelines and strategies
- Manage project budgets and control costs
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors
- Coordinate and lead project teams effectively
- Oversee quality control to meet standards
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Maintain frequent communication with clients
- Monitor schedules and ensure on-time delivery
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Allocate resources efficiently across project phases
- Supervise construction sites and activities
- Prepare and deliver reports for stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in commercial/retail construction project management
