Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
• Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
• Design functional treatment programs that support effective patient return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements; actively pursue continuing education and professional development.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Strong orthopedic knowledge and clinical reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in outpatient physical therapy evaluation and treatment.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and protocols.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students.
• Involvement in professional organizations or continuing education beyond state-mandated requirements.
