Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Float/Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (4 shifts per week) Experience: 24 months of current Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience preferred. License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate at the time of submission required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), NIHSS preferred. Must-Have: - Must be able to float across multiple units as needed. - Comfort and proficiency with specific intravenous drips such as heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltizem, and digoxin. - Must be able to read EKG/ECG and handle all telemetry duties and responsibilities including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia reads. - Epic EMR experience required. - De-Escalation Certification (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) preferred. - NIH Stroke Scale certification nice to have.

Description: We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The nurse will be assigned to multiple units based on staffing needs. Floating across Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and some post-procedural areas is required. Primary care will be in Med Surg while assisting in other units based on census and staffing needs. The ideal candidate will have experience and comfort with various intravenous drips. The candidate must also confidently read EKG/ECG and perform telemetry duties. The nurse will engage in direct patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Orientation covering necessary resources and protocols will be provided. This position requires dedication and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work 1-2 summer holidays is essential. Nurses who have completed the Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment with an 80% passing score during onboarding will be prioritized.
