Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Specialty / Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Minimum Experience Required License: Current RN License Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry Skills Telemetry Monitoring Ability to Titrate Cardiac Drips Description: Registered Nurse needed for a Medical Specialty/Telemetry unit. This position requires experience in a similar setting. The nurse will be responsible for patient care, assessment, and monitoring. Ratios are 1:5. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend requirements include 8 shifts during a 6-week schedule period. Floating to different departments and units may be required. Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be assigned as needed. Special requirements include the management of post-cath patients. Daily patient care includes adults and geriatric populations. Nursing staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Patient diagnoses include a variety of medical conditions. Essential nursing skills required include managing IVs, telemetry, and cardiac drips. Compliance with all safety and infection control protocols is necessary. Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to unit needs.
