Med Surg RN - Acute Neuro Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 12-hour Nights, 1900-0730, Monday to Sunday.

Job Description

The Med Surg RN will provide care in the Acute Neuro Unit, focused on patients recovering from neurosurgery, neurology-related issues, and other surgeries. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring a high standard of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgeries.
• Perform ongoing assessments and evaluations of patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and self-management strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the Med Surg RN specialty.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is also mandatory.
