Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN ADN required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Trauma Stroke STEMI Sepsis Moderate Sedation Description: This facility is a 198-bed, level III trauma center with state-of-the-art operating suites. It provides healthcare services to a diverse regional population. Services include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. The facility also hosts specialized units for childbirth, cancer treatment, nephrology, pediatrics, and behavioral health. Imaging and lab testing services are also available on-site. The facility has received commendations for its beautiful setting and quality of care. Located in a picturesque valley, it offers numerous outdoor recreational opportunities. The surrounding area includes rivers, golf courses, lakes, and national parks. The emergency department consists of 48 beds with flexible space for patient care. Staffing ratios are 4:1 in the main emergency department and 6:1 in the fast track area. Equipment includes advanced medical devices such as defibrillators and blood warmers. Electronic health records are managed through a specific system. The patient population includes individuals with various medical conditions such as ESRD, COPD, and psychiatric disorders. Common diagnoses treated include substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, and chest pain. Team nursing and a pod system are utilized in patient care delivery. A social worker and unit educator support the emergency department team.
