Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Location: Providence, RI
Job Type: Full-Time/Hybride
A Providence-based law firm is looking for a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support attorneys with business, real estate, construction, and medical malpractice litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Manage case files, deadlines, and court schedules
- Handle document collection, review, and production
- Assist with trial preparation , exhibits, and witness binders
- Summarize deposition and trial transcripts
- Review and summarize medical records
- Locate and communicate with medical experts
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare legal correspondence and documents
Requirements
- 1–3+ years of litigation experience
- Experience in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts
- Medical malpractice experience preferred
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Familiarity with state and federal court e-filing
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
