Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room (Rapid Response)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Expected 48 hours/week | Overtime may be available after 48 hours | 6-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation throughout each patient encounter
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
• Float to all sections within the ED as needed; no floating outside of the ED
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and patients updated throughout their visit
• Work every other weekend; scheduling must meet the needs of the department

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS required before start date
• BLS required before start date
• PALS required before start date
• TNCC required before start date
• CPI required before start date
• NIHSS required before start date
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
• Experience in a high-volume ED with more than 100,000 annual visits
• Previous experience with HCA facilities
