Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee federal and state income tax compliance, including the preparation, review, and timely filing of all required tax returns.
• Manage income tax accounting for the company’s legal entities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for federal and state income tax audits, coordinating with taxing authorities and managing responses to audit inquiries.
• Partner with the Tax Director and senior leadership on strategic tax initiatives, risk assessments, and special projects.
• Evaluate and implement tax processes, procedures, and internal controls designed to strengthen compliance, improve reporting accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
• Ensure company-wide adherence to tax policies, regulatory requirements, and established procedures.
• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual tax-related reporting for the company’s parent organization.
• Coordinate with external auditors, accounting firms, and other third-party advisors to provide requested documentation, analysis, and supporting information.
• Analyze tax and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable insights to support business and tax-related decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, and other business leaders on tax matters and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive professional experience in tax operations across multiple disciplines.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial systems and applications
